What kind of morons are running this state and country?

I know we have reached a very serious turn in our economy, and that a solution to the problem will not come easily. I also know that we did not get here overnight so it will not be solved over night.

However, to keep burdening already struggling constituents is not the answer. And what a joke it is to impose a new tax on sugared beverages.

This is purely another means of generating revenue -- like bleeding a stone.

The proposed tax speaks volumes to the level of intelligence public health officials must think they are dealing with. It definitely sounds like a group of people committed to battling the growing problem of obesity.
