When I was growing up in the '50s and '60s, there was no obesity epidemic, and children were not developing old-age maladies such as heart disease. Cancer, Alzheimer's, and autism were virtually unheard of. Living a healthy lifestyle was a lot easier. More...

Natural Supplements Listed By Ailments & Disease Symptoms

Natural supplements are fast becoming the choice for people who seek to prevent disease or to remove or reduce disease severity. In a world becoming ever more dependent on over-the-counter and prescription drugs, a return to the ways of our grandparents and great-grandparents is being sought.

I will always remember what my father who was born in 1898 told me. As a child, he was not taken to the doctor for common ailments, fevers, or even the flu. He was given a home remedy derived from natural substances found in the home.

His parents also had knowledge of natural substances growing wild in the woods that were used.

Natural foods and supplements are free from the undesirable side effects commonly found in prescription medication. That's because the body recognizes natural foods but treats synthetic drugs as foreign invaders.

Natural supplements as a web page was birthed by an incident that happened a couple of years ago. I was asked what supplement to take for low energy.

It just so happened that I remembered a natural substance that could be taken to help remedy it. I then began to realize that I will not always be able to immediately recall what natural supplement to take for what ailment or general state a person might be in.

Because produce grown today contain only a fraction of the nutrients present only 50 to 60 years ago, natural supplements must be used in order to get the needed potency. Many times it will be humanly impossible to eat enough meat or produce to get the amount of nutrient required to effect a cure or a sustained result.

The natural supplements listed can be found in any good health food store. I would advise against store brands such as Shop Rite or Pathmark. Also make certain that the ingredients are derived from natural substances and are not synthetic.

Use the natural supplements web page by looking for an ailment or condition; 'click' that link to be taken to the supplement. Get detailed information about that supplement by 'clicking' its name. You will often find that it will be effective against other medical conditions.

You may find duplicate entries for medical conditions. This indicates that there are two or more natural supplements or foods to address a particular medical condition.

This natural supplements web page will be continually updated and modified.
